Job summary

The Financial Reporting Council Limited is seeking a Senior Policy Associate to support the UK Corporate Governance Code and Stewardship Code. The role involves analysing governance reporting, drafting reviews, and engaging with external stakeholders to inform policy development and ensure robust, credible recommendations.

You will work across cross-organisational initiatives, supervising junior colleagues and contributing to policy transformation in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of UK corporate governance and stewardship frameworks.
• Experience in corporate governance, stewardship, or policy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to explain complex information.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quality of governance and stewardship reporting by UK listed companies and signatories.
• Draft sections of annual governance and stewardship reporting reviews.
• Assess applicants for UK Stewardship Code signatories and manage end-to-end assessment steps.
• Support promotion of the Wates Governance Principles for Large Private Companies.
• Review research and prepare briefings for senior colleagues.
