Job summary

HM Treasury is recruiting several Policy Advisers to join the Financial Services Group. You will work on high-profile policy issues from strategy and regulation to payments, retail banking and fintech.

You will analyse evidence, draft briefings and build relationships across government and industry. Experience in financial services policy is not essential; we welcome diverse backgrounds and a genuine interest in public policy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop policy advice and recommendations for Ministers and senior officials.
• Analyse evidence and assess the impact of policy proposals.
• Build productive relationships with colleagues across government, regulators and industry.
• Draft briefings, correspondence and responses to Parliamentary Questions.
• Monitor developments across the financial services sector and identify emerging policy issues.
• Contribute to major government announcements, events and strategic priorities.
• Work collaboratively to deliver objectives in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
