Deliver comprehensive policy launch pieces or cross-functional work products integrated into overarching projects, creating meaningful impact in policy work with minimal assistance.

Design, execute, and advocate for policy and standards frameworks, engaging with cross-functional partners to promote trust and mitigate risks for our client. Assess emerging issues, own at least one workflow or project area, and evaluate the impact of local law updates and active litigation. Plan and execute most prioritized projects independently, leveraging team support as needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Independently identify and recommend creative solutions to evolving policy problems.
• Address escalated issues or triage as required promptly.
• Deconstruct complex problems, frame policy issues, and contextualize solutions for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies for ambiguous problems.
• Collaborate within teams to communicate task-related knowledge.
• Identify key stakeholders, build networks, and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
• Foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.
• Engage in thought leadership by interacting with external partners on policy/process issues and innovative approaches.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for project components.
• Collaborate with technical and vendor teams to support policy launch and implementation.
• Understand implications of policy and process changes on systems, enforcement, and operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policy development and implementation.
• Ensure policies are developed in a way that enforcement teams can adopt, demonstrating operational understanding.
• Manage and implement global product policies with regional focus, considering local culture, values, and community standards.
• Work with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement product policies across a variety of products, participate in investigations, and respond to inquiries from external parties.
• Identify, analyze, and prioritize policy issues affecting the client and assess their impact on business and users.
• Resolve high-impact policy escalations across products with minimal guidance.

Skills & Experience:

• Effective communication skills in both written and oral formats, adaptable to different audiences and contexts.
• Knowledge of online, international, and multilingual communities.
• Understanding of how to handle disruptive and unexpected events threatening stakeholders or the public.
• Proficiency in at least one foreign language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian).
• Knowledge of policies, product platforms, and internet policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with internet technologies, policy, regulation, online safety, and content moderation.
• Ability to speak and write fluently in French and English.
