Deliver comprehensive policy launch pieces or cross-functional work products that are integrated into overarching projects, creating meaningful impact in policy work with minimal assistance.

Design, execute, and advocate for policy and standards frameworks, engaging with cross-functional partners to promote trust and mitigate risks for our client. Assess emerging issues and topics, own at least one workflow or project area, and evaluate impacts of local law updates and active litigation. Plan and execute most prioritized project work independently, leveraging team support when needed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Independently identify and recommend innovative solutions to evolving policy challenges.
• Address escalated issues or triage as required promptly.
• Deconstruct complex problems, frame policy issues, and contextualize solutions for management and stakeholders.
• Identify trends, anticipate challenges, and develop strategies for ambiguous problems.
• Collaborate within teams to share knowledge related to various tasks.
• Identify key stakeholders, build networks, and foster cross-team collaborations.
• Promote a respectful and inclusive work environment.
• Begin to demonstrate thought leadership by engaging with external partners on policy issues or innovative approaches.
• Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for project components.
• Work with cross-functional partners, including technical and vendor teams, to support policy launch and implementation.
• Understand implications of policy changes on systems, enforcement, and operations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of policy development and implementation processes.
• Ensure policies are developed for effective adoption by enforcement teams.
• Manage and implement global product policies with regional focus, considering local culture and community values.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to develop and implement product policies for various products.
• Participate in investigations and respond to inquiries, reviews, and requests related to user issues.
• Identify and analyze policy issues affecting the client and assess their impact on business and users.
• Resolve high-impact policy escalations across products with minimal guidance.

Skills & Experience:

• Effective communication skills across diverse audiences and formats.
• Understanding of online, international, and multilingual communities.
• Knowledge of processes related to managing disruptive events and public safety.
• Proficiency in a foreign language (e.g., German, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Russian).
• Fundamentals of policies and familiarity with the product platform.
• Understanding of internet policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with internet technologies, policy, and regulatory environments, especially related to online safety and content moderation.
• Ability to speak and write fluently in French and English.
