Job summary

Cardiff Council's Corporate Policy and Cabinet Office Team is offering a Corporate Apprentice (Level 3) based at County Hall in Cardiff. The role supports policy development, performance and strategic planning, and provides executive support to Cabinet Members while delivering public services in the city.

The apprenticeship runs for 21 months, with full-time hours (37 per week), hybrid working and a pro-rata wage of £13.45 per hour or £25,949 per year.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to apply: live in Cardiff and not already gained this apprenticeship level
• Welsh Government Apprenticeship Framework Qualification in Digital Skills for Business at Level 3
• Hybrid working: home and office mix; 37 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Support policy development, performance monitoring and strategic planning for the Corporate Policy and Cabinet Office Team
• Assist with briefing papers, reports, presentations and communications for senior leaders and elected Members
• Engage in research and analysis to inform Cardiff's council priorities and services
• Explore use of AI and digital tools to aid policy development and service improvement
