Job summary

The UKRI invites applications for a fixed-term analyst role within the Strategic Analysis team at Polaris House, Swindon, with hybrid working and a 12-month contract. Salary £46,743 per annum.

You will provide up-to-date evidence on key UKRI areas, lead on policy options, and work with analysts across UKRI and external bodies to strengthen the UK’s R&I system. Qualifications

• A highly numerate degree or equivalent work experience in physics, mathematics, engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python or R and/or SQL, or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency in GitHub and version control.
• Ability to communicate analysis to inform policy.
• Experience managing analytical projects with stakeholders.
• Experience in data science or quantitative methods.

Responsibilities
