Job summary

The Policy Advisor will work across a wide range of policy areas, collaborating with BFI experts to develop policy positions and provide advice to UK Government, devolved governments and local authorities, and industry stakeholders.

The role will support major workstreams over the next year, including preparations for the BFI’s National Lottery funding plan for 2029-2033, with a particular focus on delivering growth in the cultural and economic impact of the UK’s screen industries.

Qualifications

• Experience in policy making, government or regulatory environments.
• Understanding of the UK screen sector and cultural industries.
• Proven track record promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Experience delivering evidence-based policy positions.

Responsibilities

• Support BFI as UK National Lottery distributor and contribute to the funding plan launches.
• Compile and summarise evidence for briefings and policy documents.
• Analyze evidence to respond to government requests and consultations.
• Provide policy advice on issues affecting cultural and screen sectors.
