Job summary

Warwickshire Police is launching the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP), a two-year work-based route to becoming a police officer. You start on a salary of £32,256 and receive yearly increments on your start-date anniversary. The 2-year programme runs from start date, with on-the-job training and support from our in-house team.

We anticipate an early to mid-2027 start (roughly March or June). This vocational path does not award a degree, but opens doors to other police roles based on

Qualifications

• Two A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification
• Academic or vocational qualification from outside England/Wales equivalent to Level 3
• Be currently serving as a PCSO with completed probationary period
• Be currently serving as a Special Constable with independent patrol status and at least 16 hours per month
• Have served in the Armed Forces with a minimum term and exemplary reference
• Be a member of the emergency services or relevant public-facing experience (case by case)

Responsibilities

• Two-year Police Constable Entry Programme with on-the-job training from day one.
• You will be employed as an officer from day one and contribute to keeping Warwickshire communities safe.

Education

Two A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification

Academic or vocational qualification equivalent to Level 3 outside England/Wales

Armed Forces service with minimum term and exemplary reference

Currently serving as PCSO with completed probationary period

Currently serving as Special Constable with independent patrol status and monthly hours

Member of emergency services or relevant public-facing experience
