Job summary

Swan Hellenic is seeking an experienced 2nd Officer (watch keeping) to join the cruise vessel Swan Hellenic Vega. Embarkation is scheduled for 31/Oct/2026 with a 3-month on/off contract.

Candidates must have prior rank experience, polar waters experience, and a valid Basic Polar Code certificate with good references. The role involves maintaining a safe navigational watch on the bridge, assisting the Safety and Navigation Officers, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• STCW95 certification is required.
• CoC A-II/1 is required.
• Fluency in English (verbal, written) is essential for safety communications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe navigational watch on the bridge at sea, at anchor and in port.
• Assist Safety Officer and Navigation Officer as directed by Master/Staff Captain.
• Keep logs and monitor navigational equipment and weather conditions.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, COLREGS and other regulations.
