Job summary

Turner & Townsend requires an experienced PMO Lead to drive the establishment, governance and performance management of PMO functions on large-scale UK energy programmes. You will deliver executive reporting, dashboards and controls across planning, cost, risk and change, while guiding senior stakeholders and project teams to ensure delivery excellence.

You will lead cross-functional PMO and project controls teams, champion processes, and contribute to business growth through client engagement

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading PMO functions within major capital projects or portfolios.
• Proven track record delivering PMO, governance and programme controls solutions in complex environments.
• Experience across Energy, Utilities, Nuclear, Power, Rail, Aviation, Defence or similar infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of governance, reporting, risk, change, planning, cost and performance management.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders including client executives and programme boards.

• Develop and maintain integrated management information, dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Influence and challenge senior stakeholders to drive accountability and delivery excellence.
• Lead and mentor PMO and project controls teams, supporting capability development and knowledge sharing.
• Support business growth through client engagement and thought leadership in PMO capability.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced PMO Leads to support the successful delivery of large-scale and complex energy programmes across the UK.This is a strategic leadership role responsible for establishing, leading and continuously improving Programme Management Office (PMO) functions, ensuring effective governance, controls, reporting and performance management across major portfolios and programmes.You will work closely with client leadership teams and delivery partners, providing oversight, assurance and insight that enables informed decision-making and successful programme outcomes.

• Experience within Energy, Utilities, Nuclear, Power, Rail, Aviation, Defence, Highways or other major infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of programme governance, reporting, risk, change, planning, cost and performance management.
• Demonstrable experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, including client executives and programme boards.
• Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary PMO and project controls teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
