Job summary

Cummins is seeking an enthusiastic Program Management student to join our Program Management team within the Cummins Components and Software business unit in Huddersfield, UK. This placement will commence Summer 2027 and provides exposure to how a global organization operates, building essential industry knowledge.

The role is onsite three days per week, with eligibility for a placement year; you will support PMOs, maintain records, track KPIs, and prepare leadership updates while collaborating

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) projects within a PMO.

Responsibilities

• Support Program Managers with the planning, tracking, and execution of New Product Development projects.
• Maintain project records, databases, meeting minutes, and documentation for Management Review Groups (MRGs).
• Monitor project metrics and KPIs, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for project and leadership reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track actions, risks, issues, and project deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes and lead small projects focused on increasing efficiency and standardization.
• Assist with project governance activities and gain exposure to business planning, financial tracking, and portfolio management.
