The PMO Manager role is based in London and covers the UK and overseas operations, serving multiple countries. You will focus on building a consistent approach, implementing project management methodologies, processes, and best practices to manage global projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement PMO processes, frameworks, and governance structures to support renewable energy projects.
- Provide project oversight, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain project reporting systems to track progress, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and senior management to drive project success and ensure timelines, budgets, and scope are in line with expectations.
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Develop and maintain risk management processes, including mitigation strategies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency, conducting project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned across multiple countries.
- Facilitate resource planning and allocation across multiple projects.
- Coordinate project documentation, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.
- Develop and provide training for project managers and team members on best practices and tools.
- Introduce innovative tools and practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.
- Develop and enforce project management standards, tools, and templates.
- Oversee the overall project portfolio, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
What experience you'll bring:
- 7+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or related roles within the renewables, construction, or energy sector.
- Strong understanding of project governance, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in client-side project management and oversight.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Knowledge of UK and local regulatory frameworks and renewable energy industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree or relevant experience in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- PRINCE2, PMP, or similar project management certification.
- Experience with large-scale renewable energy projects.
