Job summary

Unum UK is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead the Project Management Office within Core Business Change. You will govern, report and deliver across a varied portfolio, shaping how change is governed and measured with AI-enabled solutions.

The role offers strategic visibility with senior stakeholders and a focus on continuous improvement. You will build frameworks, drive resource planning and financial oversight, ensuring projects align with organisational strategy and governance

Qualifications

• Significant PMO, portfolio or programme management experience with governance and delivery controls.
• Ability to turn complex delivery data into clear insight for senior stakeholders.
• Experience using AI, automation and technology to improve PMO processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop PMO frameworks, standards, methodologies and controls.
• Provide governance, challenge and delivery assurance across projects and programmes.
• Produce portfolio reporting, dashboards and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Manage portfolio risks, issues, actions, dependencies and decisions; escalate as needed.
• Support resource planning, capacity forecasting, business cases, benefits tracking and financial reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across PMO tools, templates, processes and ways of working.
• Use AI, automation and technology-led solutions to improve efficiency, insight and delivery impact.
• Lead, coach and support PMO colleagues, project managers and programme managers.
