We currently have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Manager to join our outstanding PMO Team!

Cardfactory is seeking an experienced PMO Manager with a deep understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to simplify complex information for diverse stakeholders.

As the PMO Manager, your main responsibility will be to collaborate with the Head of PMO to ensure that projects deliver the required outcomes within the defined quality, time, and cost constraints. This involves adhering to Cardfactory’s standard project management methodology and best practices, producing plans, documentation, and guidance for project teams throughout the project lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with organizational procedures.

This is a dynamic role where you will provide analysis to support decision-making, offer guidance on project processes, manage reporting cycles, and maintain resource and financial controls within your program of work.

Based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible, hybrid work style, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact. Colleagues are required to work in the office for a minimum of 2-3 days per week, with additional attendance when needed.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure effective portfolio delivery
  • Promote best practices in Kanbans, backlogs, JIRA, financial reporting, and delivery metrics
  • Maintain PMO as the ‘single source of truth’ for all projects
  • Embed and coach project control and governance
  • Conduct root cause analysis and log lessons learned
  • Assist with project planning, milestones, scope, resources, financials, and change management
  • Liaise with stakeholders at all levels and prepare regular status reports
  • Identify and support initiatives needing additional resources or governance
  • Identify, report, and resolve risks and issues while continuously improving portfolio and delivery processes

  • Manage projects to meet time, cost, and deliverable targets
  • Ensure client sign-off at each project stage
  • Adhere to legal, regulatory, and best practice compliance
  • Role model with high standards, leading by example
  • Deep understanding of PMO, PPM processes, and best practices
  • Extensive experience in the project development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
