Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking a PMO Lead with active SC clearance to oversee the PMO across a Data and Cloud environment. The role requires strong governance, planning and stakeholder engagement skills, with a mix of on-site and remote work (2 days on site).

You will drive portfolio governance, controls and assurance, and support workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding to build team capability.

Qualifications

• Strong experience leading PMO services in a complex programme environment.
• Expertise in portfolio, programme and project governance, controls, reporting and assurance.
• Programme planning capability with Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience preparing programmes for Gateway/IPA or similar independent reviews.
• Experience supporting workforce planning, onboarding and capability development.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation and influencing skills.
• Sound judgement and escalation of issues clearly and promptly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PMO function across a Data and Cloud environment.
• Provide governance, controls, reporting and assurance across programmes.
• Plan programmes using Azure DevOps or equivalent planning tools.
• Prepare programmes for Gateway, IPA or comparable reviews.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding.
• Engage with stakeholders to drive delivery and decision making.
• Escalate issues clearly and promptly with appropriate mitigations.
