Scrumconnect Consulting in the UK is seeking a PMO Lead to bring disciplined planning, reporting and delivery tooling to a portfolio of government projects. You will configure tools and develop repeatable ways of working that teams actually use, driving consistency across delivery leads and stakeholders.

The role involves mentoring PMO colleagues, guiding senior stakeholders, and ensuring data integrity for trustworthy progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up and running PMO planning and reporting across multiple delivery teams.
• Hands‑on experience configuring work management tools for delivery teams, including Microsoft Planner.
• Strong Power BI skills for reports and dashboards from complex delivery data.
• Experience assessing tools and processes for fit and leading changes.
• Experience designing repeatable ways of working and documenting them clearly.
• Experience mentoring delivery staff to adopt a consistent approach.
• PM or programme management background with understanding of roll-up from tasks to programme.
• Comfort with iterative delivery and quick wins.
• Ability to explain a plan or report to any audience.

Responsabilités

• Own planning and reporting standards across a portfolio of delivery teams, from how work is broken down and estimated to how progress is reported to senior stakeholders.
• Set up and configure delivery tooling, including Microsoft Planner, so it fits how teams actually work rather than bending teams around the tool.
• Define and support the development of Power BI reporting that gives delivery leads, senior stakeholders and clients one trustworthy view of progress, risks, dependencies and resources.
• Assess whether existing tools and processes are fit for purpose, and make the case to keep, change or retire them.
• Design repeatable ways of working, document them so they can be adopted without you being present, and refine them based on where teams get stuck.
• Mentor and coach delivery managers, project managers and PMO colleagues so a consistent approach is adopted without needing to be policed.
• Run the planning rhythm across the portfolio, including planning sessions, milestone tracking, dependency management and the associated reporting cycle.
• Keep the underlying data trustworthy by addressing gaps and inconsistencies that could make reports misleading.
• Work with programme and portfolio leadership to ensure team-level plans roll up into a coherent picture, and that the information leadership requires can realistically be captured at team level.
