Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a PMO Support Officer to join the governance management and project support area. You will help manage governance boards, provide project management support across major projects, and assist with assurance activities and change control to drive better delivery outcomes.

The role offers flexibility across the PMO and opportunities to gain hands-on project management experience on priority delivery improvement projects, while balancing a varied workload

Responsibilities

• Ensuring effective governance management and secretariat duties for board meetings including liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and external stakeholders (e.g. Chairs and board members)
• Ensuring effective project support with the delivery of our major projects portfolio including:
• Project management on priority delivery improvement projects working with teams across the business, offering opportunities to gain experience as a project manager responsible for the successful delivery of critical outputs and changes
• Supporting project assurance activities and reviews
• Ensuring stronger change control across the business utilising the governance landscape for better decision making, with stakeholder buy-in
