Job summary

NRL is seeking an Intermediate Cost Engineer (PMO Cost Specialist) for a 26-week, site-based contract in Reading. The role focuses on cost control, budgeting, change management, and financial oversight under senior supervision, with CSCS or ECS site access and SC clearance requirements.

You will develop baselines, monitor forecasts, manage cost risk, and deliver EV reports while aligning with contractual needs and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Extensive cost control experience in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of EVM, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Familiarity with project lifecycle and contracting methods NEC/FIDIC/JCT.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyse project baseline budgets and RAM.
• Monitor accruals, commitments, and forecasts for projects.
• Control cost risk budgets and contribute to risk processes.
• Lead financial change management and ensure contract compliance.
• Deliver cost reports, including EV and variance analyses.
