Key accountabilities and decision ownership include:

  1. Quality Management Methodology & Governance: Ensure effective delivery of methodology and governance for projects/programmes, identify issues, and recommend solutions. Develop and implement quality assurance strategies.
  2. Planning & Resource Management: Facilitate development and maintenance of project plans, identify planning issues, and recommend solutions.
  3. Leadership & Stakeholders: Manage stakeholder information, communication logs, and ensure information flow integrity.
  4. Risk Management: Oversee risk processes, escalate risks with wider implications, and manage strategic risks.
  5. Change Management: Manage change processes, escalate significant changes, assess impacts, and demonstrate process effectiveness.
  6. Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience: Confident governance meetings, handle queries, design templates, and propose improvements. Establish relationships with procurement, build client relationships, select and implement tools, ensure data integrity, and recommend improvements. Apply business knowledge, understand multiple domains, and solve problems effectively.

Must-have Technical / Professional Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualification in PMO/Assurance skills (e.g., P30)
  • Prince2 or equivalent project management certification
  • Understanding of delivery governance principles and experience in project delivery
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in management reporting, financial controls, and benefits realisation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PMO tools (e.g., Clarity/Niku), and reporting automation
  • Risk and compliance management experience
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

Note: The PMO Specialist will develop and maintain financial controls but will not own the budget.

Key performance indicators include:

  1. Delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters
  2. Alignment with governance and methodology, managing risks and changes
  3. Delivery against operational acceptance testing procedures and customer satisfaction
