Academics Ltd is proud to be working with a specialist school in Thornbury, currently seeking a committed and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), many of whom have additional physical, sensory, or behavioural needs.
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant in Thornbury, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people aged 2–19, helping them access learning in a safe and inclusive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about SEN and behaviour support.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for students aged 2–19 with PMLD and severe learning difficulties.
Implement behaviour support plans and collaborate with the wider team.
Help students with daily routines, life skills, and sensory activities.
Foster independence and social interaction in the classroom.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals.
Monitor and report progress to contribute to personalised support plans.
In your role as a PMLD Teaching Assistant in Thornbury, you will be making a daily difference in the lives of students with complex needs, ensuring they feel supported and valued.
