Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant.
Social Care Experience Preferred.
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an ALN Support Assistant to work in local ALN schools/Units in the Llanelli/Carmarthenshire areas on a part-time/full-time basis starting as soon as possible.
A Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) plays a multifaceted role, encompassing academic support, personal care, and communication facilitation. Their primary responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, providing individualised support for learning, and liaising with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are met.
The successful Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant will be able to build a positive relationship with an individual and provide specialist support in a classroom setting to cater for the special educational needs and disabilities of the child. This is a highly rewarding career that requires a flexible approach, creativity, and excellent communication skills to engage the pupil with their learning. The ideal candidate will be patient, enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to promote the child’s progress.

School hours are 08:30am - 15:30pm, term-time only.
