Are you an English Teacher with experience working with pupils with PMLD, complex needs or significant SEND? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for passionate, adaptable and creative English Teachers to support a range of specialist schools and SEND settings across Northamptonshire.
We have opportunities available for both short-term supply bookings and longer-term assignments, allowing you to find work that fits around your experience and availability. While some positions may initially be short-term, there is also the potential for assignments to develop into longer-term or permanent opportunities where there is a strong fit between you and the school.
As a PMLD English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible English lessons that are adapted to the individual needs, communication styles and abilities of your pupils. Depending on the setting, this may involve supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), SLD, complex physical or medical needs and other significant SEND.
We are particularly interested in hearing from English Teachers with experience in specialist SEND, PMLD, SLD or complex-needs settings. We are also happy to speak with experienced English Teachers who have a strong understanding of adapting their teaching to meet the needs of pupils with additional needs. Experience with sensory learning, communication needs, AAC, PECS, Makaton, physical disabilities or medical needs would be advantageous, although this is not essential for every opportunity. You will need to be a qualified teacher with strong communication skills, patience and the ability to adapt your approach to different learners and environments.
If you are an English Teacher looking for flexible supply opportunities within specialist SEND settings, we'd love to hear from you.
