Job summary

TeacherActive in South Leeds is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with PMLD and complex needs. You will work 1:1 and in small classes, helping learners access the curriculum while delivering personal care and safe manual handling as part of daily routines.

The role offers a supportive school environment, ongoing CPD opportunities, and competitive daily pay between £90 and £110. Start date is September, with a welcoming team in South Leeds.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD and complex needs.
• Confidence providing personal care and manual handling support.
• Experience working on a 1:1 basis and within a classroom environment.
• A patient, caring and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, flexible and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and classroom support to pupils.
