Job summary

South Bank Colleges is seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join the Construction team at the London South Bank Technical College campus. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance of workshop spaces, equipment and materials to support practical teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent, recent plumbing experience, strong health & safety knowledge, and good communication and IT skills. DBS check and safeguarding commitment are required.

This is a hands‑on role supporting practical teaching and learning by maintaining workshop spaces, equipment, and materials to the highest standards. You will play a key part in creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for staff and students.

Skills & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline.
• Recent industrial or commercial experience in plumbing.
• Experience maintaining equipment and managing workshop materials.
• Strong working knowledge of health & safety and equal opportunities legislation.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and willingness to learn sector‑specific software.
• Commitment to safeguarding and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS disclosure.
