A leading Further Education college in Cambridgeshire is seeking a self-motivated and practical Plumbing Technician to join their dedicated Construction team. This role is essential to ensuring practical workshops run smoothly, providing students with the resources and environment they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will have a relevant vocational qualification in plumbing, strong practical skills, and excellent organisational abilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant vocational qualification in plumbing or construction trade.
• Proven practical skills and knowledge of industry tools and materials.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities, able to work on own initiative.
• Experience in FE or training environment is advantageous; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workshop areas, tools, and materials ahead of practical teaching sessions and demonstrations.
• Maintain, repair, and service workshop equipment across all training areas.
• Support teaching staff directly during practical sessions to assist students and uphold high standards of Health & Safety.
• Manage stock levels to ensure materials and tools are available when required.

Requirements

• Excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.

• Previous technical experience within a Further Education or training environment is advantageous, though full training will be provided.
