Job summary

PTSG Water Treatment is hiring a Plumbing Supervisor to lead a team of 12–14 plumbers across the north of England. Based in Widnes, you will split time between the office, site visits, and remote work.

The role requires City & Guilds plumbing qualifications, G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems, and RPZ certification where possible. You will supervise field crews, manage rosters, and ensure high standards of safety and workmanship while supporting recruitment and onboarding.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
• G3 Unvented Hot Water Systems certification.
• RPZ ticket preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise up to 14 plumbers, coaching and mentoring, conducting competency assessments, and maintaining a training matrix.
• Manage team schedules, rotas, sickness, and annual leave.
• Handle daily procurement by raising Purchase Orders and overseeing vehicle stock control.
• Perform toolbox talks and provide hands-on technical assistance to Account Managers.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding for new starters.
• Oversee complex plumbing works on-site to meet safety and quality standards.
• Attend the Widnes office regularly to manage admin and team coordination.
