Job summary

Madigan Gill Ltd is seeking an experienced Plumber / Pipe Fitter to join a college in Cinderford, GL14, to teach and mentor Plumbing and Pipe Fitting apprentices. No teaching qualification is required to apply, and the successful candidate will be supported through the relevant qualification to teach in Further Education.

The role involves delivering classroom-based and practical training, sharing industry experience, and guiding apprentices through a structured scheme of work.

Qualifications

• Strong Plumbing / Pipe Fitting background with genuine industry experience.
• Good knowledge of plumbing systems, pipework, installation methods and site practices.
• Ability to pass knowledge and experience on to young people.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Patient, approachable and confident personality.
• Ability to deliver a structured scheme of work.
• Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.

MadiganGill are looking for an experienced Plumber / Pipe Fitter to join a college in Cinderford, GL14, helping to teach and mentor Plumbing and Pipe Fitting apprentices.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Plumber or Pipe Fitter who wants to move away from full-time site work and pass their knowledge, skills and experience on to the next generation.

You do not need a teaching qualification to apply. We will support the successful candidate through the relevant qualification to teach in Further Education, and we will arrange the required DBS checks.

Plumbing and Pipe Fitting experience is more important than teaching experience. We are looking for someone with the practical knowledge and personality to teach apprentices what working in the real construction industry is actually like.
