Job summary

MadiganGill is seeking an experienced Site Management Tutor to join a college in Cinderford, GL14, to teach and mentor construction apprentices. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who wants to move away from full-time site work and pass their knowledge on to the next generation.

You do not need a teaching qualification to apply; support will be provided to gain the FE teaching qualification and DBS checks will be arranged.

• Strong site management background with construction site experience.
• Knowledge of construction processes, site management and health & safety.
• Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and construction activities.
• Understanding of programmes, drawings, quality control and site documentation.

You do not need a teaching qualification to apply. We will support you through the relevant qualification to teach in Further Education, and we will arrange the required DBS checks.

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to deliver a structured scheme of work
• Previous teaching, training, mentoring or supervisory experience would be an advantage
• Teaching qualification desirable but not essential

Site Management experience is more important than teaching experience. We are looking for someone with the practical knowledge and personality to teach apprentices what working on a real construction site is actually like.

Contract: Permanent or contract considered - permanent preferred
Term Time: Option to work term-time only or work throughout the year
