Job summary

Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is seeking a Plumbing Craftsperson to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse estate. You will fault-find and repair plumbing and mechanical systems, carry out new installations, and provide professional advice to colleagues.

The role operates on an annualised hours contract with a 5 over 7-day shift pattern. A minimum NVQ3/BTEC/Diploma in mechanical plumbing or equivalent is required, with experience on large commercial properties.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3, BTEC Certificate or Diploma, City and Guilds Level 3 in Engineering (mechanical/plumbing) or equivalent.
• Proven knowledge, experience, and capability to diagnose faults on plumbing and mechanical equipment in large commercial properties.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance in large facilities or estates.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance across RGB Kew sites.
• Fault finding on plumbing and mechanical equipment.
• Remedial repairs in various buildings across the estate.
• New installation works as required.
• Provide professional advice to stakeholders.
