East Surrey College in Redhill is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to join our TEC department. You will deliver and assess Level 1-2 Plumbing courses, act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, and contribute to planning and review activities.

This permanent, full-time role requires a full teaching qualification (PGCE/DET/DTLLS or Cert Ed), plus a Level 3 Plumbing qualification and relevant industry experience; Level 2 teaching may be considered.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach with PGCE/DET/DTLLS or Cert Ed.
• Experience delivering teaching up to Level 2.
• Level 3 Plumbing qualification and relevant industry experience.
• Desirable AVA certification and QA training.

Responsabilités

• Deliver and assess Level 1-2 Plumbing courses.
• Act as personal tutor, promote attendance and contribute to planning.
• Collaborate with TEC department to drive improvements.
• Support colleagues and develop teaching qualifications where needed.

Job Description

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Plumbing Lecturer to join our friendly and professional TEC department. In this post, you will be delivering teaching and assessing on our Level 1- 2 Plumbing courses.

Working closely with the Programme Manager and the rest of the departmental team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings, and contribute to the planning, development, and review activities within your subject area.

Requirements

• A full teaching qualification such as a PGCE, DET/DTLLS or Cert ED
• Experience of delivering teaching up to and including Level 2
• A Level 3 Plumbing qualification (though Level 2 may be considered)
• Relevant Plumbing industry experience

It is also highly desirable that you hold the Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and also desirable for you to also hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (if old qualifications are held, e.g., A1 or V1, it is essential that you are willing to update to the new standards).
