Job summary

Orbital South Colleges Group is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to deliver and assess Level 1-2 Plumbing courses. You will work within the TEC department, act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, and contribute to curriculum development.

The role requires a full teaching qualification and relevant plumbing industry experience; improvements to teaching quality and student outcomes are part of the remit. The college offers competitive salary and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Full teaching qualification such as PGCE, DET/DTLLS or Cert ED.
• Experience delivering teaching up to and including Level 2.
• Level 3 Plumbing qualification (though Level 2 may be considered).
• Relevant Plumbing industry experience.
• Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA).
• Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance (IQA).

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching and assessing on Level 1-2 Plumbing courses.
• Act as a personal tutor and promote attendance.
• Collaborate with Programme Manager and TEC team on planning and development.
• Contribute to sustained improvements in the college’s subject area.

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Plumbing Lecturer to join our friendly and professional TEC department. In this post you will be delivering teaching and assessing on our Level 1-2 Plumbing courses.

Working closely with the Programme Manager and the rest of the departmental team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.
