Job summary

Plumb Centre in Bideford is seeking a friendly Sales Assistant to join the branch. You’ll serve customers at the trade counter, understand their needs, offer product recommendations and quotes, and help build repeat business.

You’ll respond to enquiries by phone and email, assist with warehouse tasks, and support in all branch duties. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am-12pm as overtime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position.
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations and quotations.
• Building relationships with customers with the aim of driving repeat business, enhancing customer experience, and maximising lifetime value.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email providing quotes promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the systems and putting it away and picking & packing customer orders.
