Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment in Gloucester is seeking a Plumbing & Gas Assessor to transition experienced plumbing/gas professionals into education with full training provided. You will mentor apprentices, assess in the workplace, and collaborate with employers to ensure successful progression through apprenticeship standards.

The role requires Level 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating & Gas, a current Gas Safe card, and strong communication skills.

As a Plumbing & Gas Assessor, you'll work closely with apprentices and employers, supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journey. You'll assess workplace competence, provide coaching and feedback, and help apprentices progress successfully towards completion of their qualifications and apprenticeship standards.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Plumbing and Heating professional with current industry knowledge and a passion for supporting others. You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Domestic Heating & Gas, alongside a current Gas Safe card. Previous assessing experience is desirable but not essential, as full CAVA training can be provided. You'll be organised, self‑motivated, and confident building strong relationships with both apprentices and employers.
