Job summary

Kemac Metro Plumb in Newport, Swansea & Cardiff is seeking a Reactive Plumbing Engineer to perform emergency and routine plumbing across domestic and commercial customers. The role covers installations, maintenance and on-call duties.

You will deliver high-quality workmanship, attend emergency calls, and contribute to customer satisfaction while meeting safety and regulatory standards. The position requires flexibility for on-call work and a valid UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumbing/ Plumbing & Heating Engineer for both domestic and commercial customers (incl. emergency works).
• NVQ Level 2 required; full UK driving license essential.
• Gas and pump experience preferred; renewable energy knowledge is a plus.
• Unvented certification preferred; DBS check required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of plumbing work across domestic and commercial sites, including installations and maintenance.
• Attend emergency jobs and respond to leaks and faults as part of a rota.
• Ensure high-quality workmanship with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Reactive Plumbing Engineer

Kemac Metro Plumb

Newport, Swansea & Cardiff

40 hours per week (rota system in place)

Salary £33,000 - £38,000 DOE plus on-call & overtime (additional 5-6K per annum)

Metro Plumb is a national plumbing business with more than 40 local depots across the UK, our teams of professional plumbers can deal with a variety of plumbing issues, from emergency repairs and stopping leaks to fixing broken boilers and replacing dripping taps.

We can provide you with access to specialist expertise, and one point of contact for all drainage, plumbing, pump and FOG works, as well as a unique refrigeration seal replacement offering.

What’s involved?

We are looking for a confident plumber who can carry out all aspects of plumbing work, including but not limited to, installation and maintenance of toilets, taps, ball valves, siphons, flexible hoses, pipework, radiator valves, cylinders, heating systems etc across a range of domestic and commercial customers. You will attend primarily attend emergency plumbing jobs relating to installations/leaks/issues.

What are we looking for?
