Job summary

The Management Centre GLLM is seeking a Work Based Assessor in Plumbing to support and assess learners' practical and portfolio work toward their apprenticeship qualifications. You will work mainly in workplaces, ensuring high standards of instruction, assessment and marking, with travel to meet learners and employers.

Role includes some college-based assessment and, by agreement, delivering training to groups of learners carrying out practical activities and assessing their work.

Responsibilities

• Assess plumbing learners' practical and portfolio work to achieve apprenticeship qualifications.
• Observe apprentices carrying out plumbing tasks to ensure standards.
• Travel to different workplaces to meet with learners/employers.
• Some assessing work within the college depending on training programme.
