Job summary

21° is recruiting a skilled Engineer to join our Cambridge team, focusing on renewable energy system surveys and designs across heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage. You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary group shaping future sustainable homes, with opportunities to support installations and expand your skillset across multiple technologies.

You’ll primarily work locally, with occasional collaboration across the UK.

Qualifications

  • Survey Homes for air source & ground source heat pumps, solar PV, batteries
  • Lead a team of heating engineers and coordinate field activities
  • Plan site visits, remote surveys and design assessments
  • Explain systems and benefits clearly to customers
  • Capture data and site imagery for accurate reporting

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and remote surveys; plan-based assessments
  • Identify installation challenges and propose practical design solutions
  • Map cable routes and system layouts; advise equipment placement
  • Ensure timely, accurate survey documentation and handover to installations
  • Assist with installations as needed

We’re growing rapidly and looking for a skilled, and customer-focused Engineer to join our Cambridge team.

Here, you’ll go beyond assessments—you’ll become part of a multidisciplinary team shaping the future of sustainable homes. We invest in your development so you can expand your skillset across multiple renewable technologies and even support installations.

You’ll primarily work locally, with occasional opportunities to collaborate with teams across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Survey homes for air source & ground source heat pumps, solar PV, batteries, and EV chargers
  • Manage a team of heating engineers.
  • Conduct site visits, plan-based assessments, and remote surveys
  • Identify installation challenges and design practical solutions
  • Map cable routes and system layouts
  • Advise customers on optimal equipment placement
  • Capture key data and site imagery
  • Clearly explain systems and benefits to customers
  • Ensure accurate, timely completion of survey documentation
  • Asssit with installations as needed

What You Bring
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Low temp heatign design
  • Experience with Heat Pump design using H2X
  • Extensive renewable industry experience, particularly working with air source heat pumps
  • Ability to manage a customer relationship to the point of operational handover
  • Excel at creating new business opportunities with homeowners, architects & developers
  • Works well under pressure to achieve sales targets
  • Punctual & smart appearance
