Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Plumber's Mate, Assistant, or Trainee preferred.
  • Confidence using a range of tools and equipment safely.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

Junior Heating Engineer - Renewable Energy & Heat Pump Installations

Location: Newark & Surrounding Areas


Salary: £26,000 - £27,500 per year


Job Type: Full-time, Permanent


Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Junior Engineer to join a growing renewable energy and heating team based in Newark. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability, renewable technology, and developing a long-term career in the plumbing and heating industry.


You’ll support experienced engineers on air source and ground source heat pump installations, gaining valuable on‑site experience while receiving ongoing training and development opportunities.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist engineers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems in domestic and commercial properties.

  • Support the installation of renewable energy systems, including heat pumps and associated components.

  • Work effectively with hand tools and power tools for various plumbing tasks.

  • Perform pipe threading, fittings, and system preparation under supervision.

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure systems run efficiently.

  • Maintain a high standard of health and safety on‑site.

  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

  • Work closely with the installation team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.


What We're Looking For


  • Previous experience as a Plumber's Mate, Assistant, or Trainee (preferred).

  • Confidence using a range of tools and equipment safely.

  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
