Job summary

L&Q Living is seeking a Multi-trader Plumber for the North London repairs team on a permanent basis. The role involves plumbing repairs and related trades, with a focus on delivering reliable, first-time fixes for residents.

Ideal candidates have solid plumbing experience, NVQ in plumbing, and familiarity with maintenance housing environments. Core hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and out-of-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace sinks, water tanks and bathrooms.
• Carry out basic carpentry, tiling, painting and patch plastering.
• Work in building or housing maintenance environments and with varied housing stock.
• Deliver right-first-time service and high customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with teams across North London and wider region as needed.
• Core hours are Mon–Fri 8am–5pm; occasional call-outs/out of hours.

Persona:Mobile worker - contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Join our Repairs Team at L&Q:

The North London repairs team are looking for a Multi trader Plumber to join the team on a permanent basis.

*Our North London region is one of our largest operational areas, covering Hackney, Islington, Kensington and Chelsea and Barnet and Enfield. While successful candidates will be allocated a primary working area, they will be expected to work across the wider region ad hoc to support service delivery.

It is essential to have a manual driving license to carry out this role and they must have hand tools (larger tools and specialist equipment will be arranged if needed).

Your impact in the role:

Our plumbers deal with all aspects of Plumbing repairs and replacements of sinks water tanks, and bathrooms. In addition to plumbing they will have associated skills and experience in basic carpentry, tiling, painting/decorating and patch plastering repairs.

We will expect effective communication skills, have experience of working in a building and/or housing maintenance environment including a knowledge of a varied housing stock.

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to L&Q and as a first line of contact to our residents. We expect our operatives to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a right first-time service. Limiting follow ons and increasing satisfaction.

Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out of hours service.
