Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join an established in-house repairs and maintenance team covering Bedford and surrounding areas.

You will perform responsive repairs with a plumbing core and carry out multi-trade tasks across occupied and void properties, with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative.
• Experience in social housing, housing associations or domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Completing basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling and minor building repairs
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance in occupied properties while working respectfully around residents
• Working across void properties, completing repairs and making properties ready for re-let
• Completing kitchen and bathroom repairs where required
• Using handheld devices to update job information and complete work records
• Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
• Providing a high standard of customer service to residents
