Job summary

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking a reliable and experienced Plumber to support repairs, maintenance, and small works across a social housing portfolio. The role requires a qualified plumber and a proactive, safety‑aware approach to delivering high‑quality homes for residents.

You will carry out plumbing installations and repairs in occupied and void properties, diagnose faults, and work to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent required.
• Proven experience in domestic or social housing environments.
• Competent in carpentry and small joinery tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance across social housing properties.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing faults, leaks, blockages, and heating system issues.
• Undertake basic to intermediate carpentry tasks such as boxing-in pipework and fitting bath panels.
• Install kitchen units or worktops and adjust doors as needed.
• Complete multi-trade tasks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records using job management systems.
• Communicate clearly with tenants, colleagues, and supervisors.
