Job summary

YMCA Bournemouth is seeking a Plumber and Maintenance Worker to help maintain the estate across Poole, Bournemouth, Broadstone and Studland. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a salary of £31,200 per annum.

You will perform domestic and commercial plumbing, install and maintain sanitaryware, and undertake general maintenance tasks following health and safety guidelines. A basic trade qualification and reliable communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification at a basic level.
• Experience in domestic and commercial plumbing.
• Good numeracy and written English skills.
• Experience in building maintenance and compliance works.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and installing plumbing and sanitaryware.
• Installing replacement sanitaryware and related equipment.
• Installing new pipework (copper, Speedfit, waste, rainwater).
• Installing taps and fittings.
• Carrying out general building maintenance.
• Completing compliance checks (fire doors, water management, emergency lighting).
