Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plumber for a temporary contract in Fareham, offering 40 hours per week Mon-Fri and £26 per hour. Initially focused on void properties, the role may move to day-to-day responsive repairs as needed.

The successful candidate will perform domestic plumbing repairs, diagnose faults, install bathroom suites, and maintain accurate records, while delivering high-quality service to residents and landlords.

Qualifications

• Experience as a domestic Plumber.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing workload.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Own van and tools, with a full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check if required.
• Live within approximately 20 miles of Fareham.
• Experience in social housing or property maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, pipework, taps, toilets, showers and baths.
• Complete first and second fix plumbing works.
• Install and replace bathroom suites and sanitary ware.

Are you an experienced Plumber with strong domestic repair skills and the ability to work independently across occupied and void properties?

Workshop Recruitment is looking for experienced Plumbers to support a busy social housing maintenance contract in Fareham. Initially, you will focus on void properties, keeping travel between jobs to a minimum, before potentially moving onto day-to-day responsive repairs.

This is an urgent temporary Plumber position offering a minimum of two months work, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, pipework, taps, toilets, showers and baths.
• Complete first and second fix plumbing works.
• Install and replace bathroom suites and sanitary ware.
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Have proven experience working as a domestic Plumber.
• Possess strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Work confidently and independently while managing your own workload.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Have your own suitable van and tools.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Ideally have social housing or property maintenance experience.
• Live within approximately 20 miles of Fareham
• Applicants must be willing to undergo a DBS check if required.

Salary: £26.00/hour
