Job summary

PTSG Water in the Cambridge area is seeking skilled plumbers for a mobile role with steady hours and long-term stability. You’ll be working across commercial and domestic sites, ensuring systems stay safe and compliant.

With a base salary up to £35k plus overtime at 1.5–2x and an OTE around £43k–£45k+, you’ll receive a company vehicle and fuel card, 10% bonus on certain sites, life assurance, and access to benefits. The role offers 24 days holiday and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• G3 Unvented certification is desirable but not required.
• Solid background in commercial plumbing and water systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across sites.
• Perform tank disinfections, replacements, and general plumbing repairs.
• Carry out mains injections and local disinfection work.
• Perform reactive maintenance and fault finding.
• Install and maintain pipework, TMVs and fixtures.
• Remove dead legs and modify systems, keeping records.

Location: Cambridge area (mobile role)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

No evenings. No weekends. No on-call.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be working across commercial and domestic sites, keeping systems safe and compliant.

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Tank disinfections, replacements and general plumbing repairs

Mains injections and local disinfection work

Reactive maintenance and fault finding

Installing and maintaining pipework, TMVs and fixtures

Removing dead legs and modifying systems

Keeping accurate records and working safely at all times

What We’re Looking For

City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent)

G3 Unvented certification is desirable, unvented experience essential

Solid background in commercial plumbing

Experience with water hygiene tasks

Full UK driving licence

Ideally, you'll have some water treatment experience or be supervisor / team lead and even an RPZ ticket. If you have these qualities we may be able to offer a higher basic.
