Job summary

Christ's Hospital is seeking an experienced plumber to join our dedicated facilities team. The role involves maintaining the school’s extensive plumbing, heating, hot water and drainage systems to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for students and staff.

You will carry out reactive and planned maintenance, contribute to refurbishment projects, and participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.

Qualifications

• Independent working ability in a maintenance setting.
• Ability to respond promptly to maintenance issues.
• Strong customer service and safeguarding awareness when working with students and staff.
• Experience working in a school or similar environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and planned plumbing maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to refurbishment projects and improvements to plumbing, heating, hot water and drainage infrastructure.
• Participate in the emergency call-out rota and out-of-hours coverage.

The ideal candidate is a qualified and experienced plumber who can work independently, respond quickly to maintenance issues, participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota, and work safely within a school environment where safeguarding and customer service are critical.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plumber to play a key role in maintaining the schools extensive plumbing, heating, hot water and drainage infrastructure, ensuring a safe, efficient and comfortable environment for students, staff and visitors.
Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will undertake both reactive and planned maintenance activities, contribute to refurbishment projects and participate in the emergency call-out rota.
