Places for People is hiring a qualified Plumber to deliver reliable plumbing services across domestic properties in your local area. You’ll have use of a company van and a consistent workload within a supportive team. The role focuses on 2nd fix plumbing, repairs and ensuring safety standards are met.

You’ll work with supervisors and apprentices, documenting activities and contributing to KPIs. We offer a company van with fuel card, 35 days leave, pension, sick pay, and a bonus scheme.

Formación

• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plumbing is required.
• Experience as a Plumber, ideally within social housing or domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• You will be based within the advertised postcode area.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out 2nd fix plumbing work across domestic properties, internally and externally.
• Complete general plumbing repairs to high quality standards.
• Work to specifications and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines.
• Record work activity and complete required documentation.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out 2nd fix plumbing work across domestic properties both internally and externally
• Completing general plumbing repairs while maintaining high quality standards
• Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines
• Recording work activity and completing required documentation
• Supporting apprentices and contributing to team performance and KPIs

What your day looks like

• A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance work
• Travelling between jobs in your company van
• Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
• Engaging directly with Customers in their homes
• Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards

Where you'll work

You will be working across:

• Occupied homes
• Empty (void) properties
• A range of domestic properties within your local area
• Environments involving vulnerable Customers

Essential Criteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)

• NVQ Level 2 or City and Guilds in Plumbing
• Experience working as a Plumber, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be based within the advertised postcode

Nice to have (not essential)

• Experience working across multiple trades, so you can finish a job end to end i.e. boxing in, painting, patch plastering.
