About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Plumber / Mechanical Engineer (Level 2) to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C & Adult/Male prison.

Join a team that works Monday-Sunday as a supportive and driven family, collaborating to create a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Highpoint operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to maintain its functions. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work will ensure smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

Candidate Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in a mechanical or plumbing discipline or equivalent
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
