Job summary

Morgan Sindall Property Services in Leeds is seeking a qualified Plumber to join our team delivering domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Yorkshire. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with a company van provided.

The role requires NVQ2 in Plumbing, G3 unvented HW, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive, customer‑focused approach to safe, first‑time fixes in occupied properties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (minimum qualification).
• Unvented Hot Water qualification/certification (G3).
• Full UK Driving Licence (if applicable).
• Experience in social housing repairs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance for residents.
• Repair, maintain and install sanitary ware, pipework, taps, toilets, baths, showers, sinks and hot/cold water systems.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and complete repairs safely to achieve first-time fixes.
• Work in occupied properties with safety, compliance and customer service in mind.
• Receive and manage work orders on a handheld device and communicate with residents.

Permanent – Full Time

40 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30, half hour lunch

We are looking to recruit a Plumber to join our team in Leeds

About the Role

Working across our social housing properties throughout the Yorkshire region you will be responsible for delivering high-quality domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance services for residents.

You will carry out a wide range of plumbing works including the repair, maintenance and installation of sanitary ware, pipework, taps, toilets, baths, showers, sinks, hot and cold-water systems, waste systems and associated domestic plumbing components. You will diagnose faults, identify root causes and complete repairs safely and efficiently to achieve a first-time fix wherever possible.

Working within occupied properties you will ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements, company procedures and customer service expectations. Using a handheld device, you will receive and manage work orders, record job outcomes and communicate effectively with residents to deliver an excellent customer experience.

About You

You will be an experienced plumber with a strong background in domestic repairs and maintenance. You will have excellent fault-finding skills, a proactive approach to problem solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Experience of working within social housing, local authority or responsive repairs environments would be advantageous. You will be comfortable working independently, and meeting performance targets while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

This role requires a customer-focused individual who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally with residents and colleagues and contributes positively to the communities we serve.

You must have your own basic tools and hold a valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months as a company vehicle will be provided (work use only).
