The Vacancy

Wates is offering a permanent, full-time/flexible working opportunity for a Plumber to join our Responsive Maintenance division. You will work from our Hammersmith office on a social housing contract, delivering reactive maintenance services to residents.

Key Accountabilities

• Understanding and working in accordance with industry-accepted Health and Safety standards.
• Performing repair and renewal works on plumbing installations, along with minor maintenance tasks using your multi-trade skills.
• Collaborating with colleagues or contractors to complete complex tasks.
• Using PDA devices to receive instructions and electronically report work details.
• Communicating with Supervisors or schedulers promptly when work cannot be completed on the first visit, providing detailed information for scheduling.
• Providing excellent customer service to residents, clients, and colleagues.

You must hold a full UK driving licence.

We seek a professional plumber with multi-trade experience from a similar industry and environment. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, capable of problem-solving, multitasking, and working under tight deadlines.

Due to the nature of this role, a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required at offer stage. We assess applicants with criminal convictions on an individual basis and do not discriminate based on criminal records. Additional pre-employment checks may also be required.
