Job summary

MoveATech is seeking a Permanent Plumber in Cardiff to join a busy facilities management team. You will perform hands-on plumbing maintenance, fault finding and water system checks on a large commercial site, ensuring safety and quality in all tasks.

The role offers 39 hours weekly, Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00 with a 1 in 3 weekend rotation and a 15% uplift. NVQ Level 3 (or 2 with experience) and health-and-safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent is required.
• Experience in plumbing maintenance and fault finding is essential.
• Legionella Control (L8) knowledge is desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
• Strong commitment to health and safety and high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance on a large commercial site.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and test water systems for compliance.
• Provide general site support and work safely within a busy facilities team.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Job description

Permanent Plumber - Cardiff

We are looking for a skilled Permanent Plumber to join a busy facilities management team in Cardiff. This is a hands‑on maintenance role supporting the safe, compliant and efficient operation of a large commercial site.

You will carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, fault finding, repairs, water system checks and general site support, ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards.

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch. The role also includes a 1 in 3 weekend shift pattern with a 15% allowance.

About you: You will have a strong commitment to health and safety, a practical approach to fault finding and repairs, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.

We want to hear from you if you have:

• Ideally, you will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating and have experience in plumbing maintenance. Applications may also be considered from candidates with NVQ Level 2 and relevant practical experience.
• Legionella Control (L8) and commercial environment experience would be desirable, but not essential, as development and training can be provided.
