Job summary

Magna Housing Ltd in Dorset requires a highly motivated Plumber to join the Building safety Compliance and Home Services team. You will perform plumbing repairs and related trades in customers' homes, ensuring high standards and compliance with current legislation.

You will work with a dedicated team focused on exceptional customer experiences, underpinning Magna’s ambitious plans and collaborative culture. Applicants must reside within 30 miles of DT6 5BJ and hold a valid driving license.

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship or C&G/NVQ Level 3 in plumbing, with a minimum of 1 year's post qualification experience.
• Associated multi-skilled trades (e.g. carpentry).
• You must hold a full driving license.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership for one's tasks.
• You will need basic IT literacy skills, as the role utilises an iPad to receive and complete jobs.
• This post is subject to a Basic Level Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Responsibilities

• From the initial reporting of the job to completion, you will play a key part in delivering the work to a high standard and within current legislation.
• You will take part in the Out of Hours Rota approximately once in every 8 - 10 weeks, for which you will receive an additional standby pay allowance.
• You will receive a comprehensive role profile as part of the application process.

Job description

• Salary £37,300 per annum plus benefits and additional allowances.
• 39 hours per week.
• Location - covers the Jurassic coast region from Portland to Seaton plus wider call out areas. We recommend that applicants live within 30 miles of DT6 5BJ.
• Access to a van, uniform and all power tools are provided.
• Permanent role.
• Closing date for applications: 14.09.26 (Midday)
